Job Description:

Our client is a global manufacturer of heat transfer products and services, specialized in developing resource-saving evaporative cooling equipment that conserves water and energy.

Reporting to Regional Sales Manager, the Application Engineer is responsible for the promotion of the company’s products and applications within SEA (for start in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia), requiring frequent travelling in the region.

You will conduct product presentations, handling enquiries for key project stakeholders, finding and recommending the best solutions to meet customers’ needs. You play an important role in transferring knowledge and capabilities to company’s distributors and sales representatives in the region, effectively acting as a coach during the pre-sales activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Marketing

• Promote and present company’s solutions to design consultants, end users and other key influencers in collaboration with the local sales team and representatives.
• Keep track of frequently asked questions or product features, report this to the regional marketing team for future innovations and product developments.
• Contribute and support promotional activities such as tradeshows, seminars, conferences, etc
• Support the APAC marketing team with specific tasks such as competitive analysis and the creation of new or updated sales presentations.

Sales support

• Support the regional sales team with handling enquiries, generating selections, quotations, and other documentation relevant to getting company’s products specified.
• Recommend and guide the sales team to determine the right sales strategies for certain projects.
• Lead or participate at bid clarification meetings.
• Train the sales people and distributors to become capable at delivering product presentations and using sales tools by themselves
